This is the time of year when everyone makes a new years resolution to some how better them selves.

For myself normally I just say I’m going to be me…but better! However this year I’m going for a specific goal;
Take my weight up to a lean 200 pounds in 6 months.
I’m not going to lie, this is the same goal I had last year but this year is different! (Oh my goodness I sound like 90% of all new gym goers!)
But seriously, this year it will be documented, and I will take out one of my major stumbling blocks, basketball!
Since I can’t spare the calories I will avoid playing basketball for the next 6 months…or at least do my best (I’m a bit of an addict when it comes to playing)
The stats…
My weight at the beginning of the year was 183. Which isn’t that far off from my heaviest, 189, but at this current weight I’m not as lean as I was at 189. While I’m not in bad shape by any stretch of the imagination, we all seem to be harder on ourselves it seems, so relative to what I was or what I believe I could be, I’m not even close.
Since sleep is a major factor towards better health and for those both trying to lose fat and gain muscle I’m going to stop here and head to bed, in the next post I’ll put up some pictures.
